IV&V Lead Analyst – Modernization Project

Salary: $120-170k

Sabot Consulting is seeking an IV&V Lead Analyst to support our client’s modernization project. This role will lead independent verification and validation (IV&V) activities across all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring technical quality, compliance, and strategic alignment with state and federal workforce systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead IV&V assessments across planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-deployment phases.
• Develop and maintain IV&V Management and Work Plans aligned with project schedules.
• Produce monthly IV&V Activity Reports detailing completed tasks, risks, issues, and recommendations.
• Conduct traceability matrix analysis, system requirements evaluations, and technical reviews.
• Interface with supporting processes such as risk management, change control, and quality assurance.
• Evaluate system architecture, software design, database design, and security posture.
• Assess testing artifacts including unit, integration, acceptance, and system tests.
• Review deployment readiness including organizational change management, data conversion, and user training.
• Deliver final IV&V reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and lessons learned.

• 5 years of experience applying analytical processes on IT projects, including 3 years in systems analysis and design.
• 5 years of IV&V experience for federal, state, or local government entities, including: Monthly activity reports, Risk and issue reviews, Traceability matrix analysis, System requirements evaluation, System test assessment and verification, & IV&V task reports.
• 2 years of experience on IT projects valued at $10 million or more.
• 3 years of experience in Agile SDLC, project management methodologies, and QA processes.
• 2 years of experience with Platform as a Service (PaaS) or Software as a Service (SaaS).
• Bachelor’s degree or 9 years of qualifying experience in lieu of degree.

• Experience with enterprise case management systems supporting 5,000+ internal users.
• Experience with data conversions involving 15+ million records.
• PMI-ACP, PMP, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
• Experience conducting end-to-end integration testing and UAT assessments.
• Familiarity with IEEE Std. 1012 and California Department of Technology oversight standards.
